We partner with traditional owners
Equatorial Launch Australia works in partnership with the traditional owners of the land on which the spaceport is located – the Gumatj people. The 2022 NASA campaign provided employment and training opportunities for the first nations people of the region, who were integral to ELA’s success for this mission.
Together ELA and the Gumatj Corporation are on a mission to bring the space sector to East Arnhem Land for the benefit of locals.
Reaching for the stars, we stay grounded in protecting our planet
Our commitment to exploration extends beyond the stars.
While we push the boundaries of access to space, we are equally dedicated to protecting the planet we call home. Our operations are designed with sustainability in mind, from utilising eco-friendly materials to reducing carbon emissions during launches. We invest in green technologies and partner with environmental organisations to ensure that our activities leave a minimal footprint.
Through continuous innovation, we strive to make space exploration not only a leap forward for humanity but also a step toward a cleaner, healthier Earth for future generations.
